'Poisonberry Pete' Wins G-Tech Award

G-Technology announces the winner of its Driven Creativity US 2012 Competition at a gala reception in New York City.

SAN JOSE, CA – 

At a gala reception in New York City on Wednesday, November 7, technology developer G-Technology announced the winner of its Driven Creativity US 2012 Competition.

Computer animation students Uri Lotan, Adam Campbell, and Elizabeth McMahill of Ringling College were named the overall winners of the competition for their short animation film, The Ballad of Poisonberry Pete. This animation team will also receive a grand prize of $5,000 and an innovative G-Technology 8TB G-RAID with Thunderbolt external storage solutionto create new works.

The gallery event featured collective works of the Driven Creativity US Awards Competition in a wide range of media from short film to animation and photography and music The exhibition was filled with  gallery goers and art enthusiasts as well as winning artists Devon Dresback, who traveled from Arizona (Winner Professional, Short Film, Come Follow Me), and Nate Powers who came from Tennessee (Professional winner Short Film, Regret) to be there for the celebration.

Winning films were screened and followed by an artist Q&A. The online curated gallery featuring the winning works, finalists and runners up across professional and amateur categories is viewable at http://drivencreativity.g-technology.com.
