Pi Director Goes Small Screen For AMC

Darren Aronofsky (PI, REQUIEM FOR A DREAM) is developing a series for AMC called RIVERVIEW TOWERS, per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

The psychological thriller revolves around a family who move into an apartment building rife with paranormal activity.

Writer John J. McLaughlin, who penned Aronofsky's upcoming BLACK SWAN, will be the scribe on RIVERVIEW, which is still in the development phase.

Director Patty Jenkins (MONSTER) is in talks to helm should the project get picked up for a pilot. HBO was the previous home of the project for more than two years.

Aronofsky is executive producing via his Protozoa shingle. His producing partner at Protozoa, Eric Watson and Jed Weintrob are also executive producing.

AMC's original programming slate is looking more and more flush, with the recent hits MAD MEN (also via HBO and a Golden Globe winner for Best Drama Series last year) and BREAKING BAD.
