Netflix and Mattel Tease ‘Masters of the Universe: Revolution’

Kevin Smith’s Emmy-nominated animated series returns as He-Man battles a newly mechanized Skeletor and the Horde Empire; official trailer, key art and new images drop ahead of the January 25 global streaming debut.

Netflix and Mattel have released the first official trailer, key art, and new images for the new animated series Masters of The Universe: Revolution. The five-episode series streams worldwide January 25.

In the show, it’s technology versus magic when He-Man and the heroic warriors face the forces of the newly mechanized Skeletor, armed with the might of Motherboard, who attacks the heart of Eternia while Prince Adam grapples with a new responsibility and what that means for him as He-Man! Adam is forced to choose between the scepter or the sword, and a life as either the King or the Champion! Meanwhile, the new Sorceress Teela searches for the secret of Snake Magic in the mists of Darksmoke to rebuild a magic realm and help He-Man hold off the greatest threat Eternia has ever faced: the return of the despot Hordak, the ruthless leader of the Horde Empire!

The series features the voice talents of Meg Foster as Motherboard, Chris Wood as He-Man, Melissa Benoist as Teela, and Mark Hamill as Skeletor, along with Diedrich Bader, Liam Cunningham, Keith David, Mark Hamill, Lena Headey, Griffin Newman, William Shatner, Tiffany Smith, and Tony Todd.

Kevin Smith executive produces alongside Frederic Soulie, Rob David, Christopher Keenan, and Ted Biaselli. Mattel Television produces the series, while Powerhouse Animation produces the animation.
