Press Release from Little Airplane Productions

NEW YORK /TORONTO – August 4, 2010 – Little Airplane Productions and Spin Master Entertainment, a division of Spin Master Ltd., will debut their new property “Suzy Takes the Stage” (52 x 11 minutes) at this year’s MIPJunior, October 2-3, 2010. This marks the first time the property will be introduced to the worldwide community of program buyers.  The announcement was made today by Josh Selig, President and Founder, Little Airplane Productions with Jennifer Dodge and Matthew Wexler, Executive Producers, Spin Master Entertainment.

"Suzy is hands-down the funniest and most positive female character we have ever created at Little Airplane,” said Selig.  "We are thrilled to be joining forces with our partners at Spin Master Entertainment to bring 'Suzy Takes the Stage' out into the world!"

"Suzy Takes the Stage" is about a charismatic little girl who shares the big events of her life with her viewers from an extraordinary and ever-changing stage.  Whether learning to ice skate with her dog Fuzz, or helping her little brother Dakota get ready for pre-school, Suzy and her family have a quirky, upbeat and always original perspective on the world.  This is a pre-school series that features great comedy, great singing and larger than life personalities.

The series combines cutting-edge computer animation with elements of traditional theatrical stagecraft, such as trap doors, beautiful sets and lighting effects.  It features a ground-breaking new animation style called Theatre Arts Animation, which has been created by Little Airplane for exclusive use on this series. Every episode is filled with original songs that are composed and produced by the Emmy Award-winning musical team at Little Airplane Productions.

The key developmental skills woven into each "Suzy Takes the Stage" episode are resilience and self-knowledge.  Suzy is a highly confident girl who never gives up no matter how many obstacles come her way.  The educational curriculum has been developed by child development expert Dr. Laura G. Brown ("The Wonder Pets!", "Ni-Hao Kai Lan").

“Once again Little Airplane has created a visually stunning animation style, featuring captivating characters that children around the world will adore,” says Jennifer Dodge.  “Our partnership with this cutting edge team on the development of ‘Suzy Takes the Stage’ has been magical.”
