Digital Rebellion’s Jon Chappell to Showcase CinePlay at LACPUG

Jon Chappell, Founder/CEO of Digital Rebellion will speak at February’s Los Angeles Creative Pro User Group.

Los Angeles, CA -- Digital Rebellion announced that company Founder/CEO Jon Chappell will be the featured speaker at this month’s Los Angeles Creative Pro User Group (LACPUG) event where he will showcase the latest advancements to CinePlay, the media player for creative professionals. The event will be held Wednesday, February 25 at the Gallery Theatre in Hollywood.

Hosted by industry veteran Michael Horton, LACPUG is one of the world’s largest user groups devoted to digital filmmakers. The organization is part of the Creative Pro User Group (CPUG) and currently boasts over 6,000 members worldwide and growing. In addition to monthly meetings in Hollywood, it also co-produces “SuperMeets” around the world, including the popular Las Vegas SuperMeet held in conjunction with NAB. 

Designed for Mac-based creative pros in need of a more powerful video playback solution, CinePlay provides timecode support, markers, overlays and full integration with Digital Rebellion apps and services. The latest enhancements include completely overhauled playback architecture with image sequence support and increased integration with Kollaborate, the company’s cloud-based review and approval software solution. Working in conjunction with the cloud, CinePlay allows users to take part in shared screening sessions to enable playback control on others' computers, giving everyone the ability to see the same frame simultaneously.
