ASC Nominations Recognize VFX-Driven Projects

‘Blade Runner 2049,’ ‘Game of Thrones’ among the cinematographers’ guild’s choices.

LOS ANGELES -- Visual-effects driven features and TV shows, including Blade Runner 2049, The Shape of Water and Game of Thrones, are among the nominees for the 32nd annual ASC Awards for Outstanding Achievement.

The American Society of Cinematographers will reveal the winners at the organization’s Feb. 17 ceremony, which will be emceed this year by Ben Mankiewicz, a longtime host on Turner Classic Movies. The event will be held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland.
