I have "The Art of Cartooning with Flash" and "Flash 5 Cartooning".
I'm not an animator by trade just a wannabe.
I want to make cartoons for fun.
I especially enjoy flash based ecards!
Nice poll. I think it should be pined to the top for a month, so as to make sure everyone votes.
The only Flash books I have purchased are:
Actionscript the Definitive Guide, by O'Reilly
Flash Web Design, by Hillman Curtis
Flash 4 Magic, by Emberton and Hamlin
Flash 5 Dynamic Content Studio by Friends of Ed
I was interested more in the nuts and bolts of the program. What I've learned about animation I've done through this site and Preston Blair's.
Hollywood 2D Digital Animation by Sandro Corsaro is the only book I have on flash and I only got it 3 weeks ago as well. Basically I got it as a reference for the online tutorials I am going to write/have written. All of the heavyweight veterens of the flash industry have contributed articles/interviews to the book.
I don't have any of those, and I haven't seen all of them, but for a newbie Flash animator, I will have to reluctantly say, Hollywood 2D Digital Animation, would be a good book for them. It cover's enough of Flash to get you started, and then some. It also goes through the whole process from concept to delivery of your animation. I just wouldn't use that book for learning animation principles and techniques.

Well, I guess I'm going to have to eat my words and buy Hollywood 2D Digital Animation. There is a production schedual in there that I might want to "borrow." :P
