Hello.
I have tons of work on VHS tape that I have converted to tape - so now how do I go from DVD's to files - (such as avi's) so I can upload work to the web and or YouTube?
Thanks.

I'm sure there are other programs that can compress files better, but I use Quicktime Pro. It's one of my favorite and most used programs other than Flash. You can even use it as a limited editing program cutting and pasting video and audio clips together.

Are you on a PC, Larry? I'm not sure what the standard tool is for ripping DVD to avi is in Windows, but you need to find a program that does that. Try googling dvd2avi or dvd2mpg. Play around with the settings and find a compression that gets the file under 100 megs so it will go up on Youtube. Then just upload it and you should be good to go.
