ASIFA-East is delighted to welcome Sayoko Kinoshita, internationally renowned filmmaker, director of the prestigious Hiroshima International Animation Festival, president of ASIFA Japan, and acting president of ASIFA International, who will be visiting the U.S. to present a very special program of films she created with her acclaimed late husband and collaborator, Renzo.
ASIFA-East is also honored to present in this program the first public U.S. screening of Renzo and Sayoko's newest film, MADE IN OKINAWA, for which Renzo completed the storyboard before his untimely passing in 1997, and which was directed and completed by Sayoko in 2004.
David Ehrlich, for many years a friend of both Renzo and Sayoko, will moderate this special evening.
Admission is free. Beginning at 7:00 pm, it is taking place at School Of Visual Arts, 209 East 23rd Street, Rm. 502, Bet. 2nd & 3rd Ave.
