Warner Home Video Debuts Scooby-Doo In Pirates Ahoy! on DVD

Warner Home Video (WHV) is releasing the original animated movie SCOOBY-DOO IN PIRATES AHOY! on DVD Sept. 19, 2006 ($19.98).

In the movie, Scooby-Doo and the gang take a creepy cruise into the legendary Bermuda Triangle. From alien sightings to Skeleton Ghost Pirates, spooks and scares lurk around every corner. If Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred and Velma cant solve this maritime mystery, they may walk the plank and become the Triangles next victims.

SCOOBY-DOO continues to be a very successful franchise, people of all ages still love to watch Scooby-Doo and the gang solve the mystery of the day, commented Dorinda Marticorena, WHV vp, kids and sports marketing. We think both children and parents will enjoy this full-length original movie. It offers a very funny and entertaining story line while mixing in just enough spooks and scares to keep kids on the edge of their seats as they watch the loveable crew save the day once again. What kid doesnt love a great pirate story? We are delighted to bring this entertaining story to consumers everywhere.

The two previous animated movies ALOHA SCOOBY-DOO! (released in Feb. 2005) and SCOOBY-DOO IN WHERES MY MUMMY? (released in Dec. 2005) were two of the top 20 kids made-for-videos in 2005.

For Scooby fans, this release follows up the July release of A PUP NAMED SCOOBY-DOO VOLUMES 3 and 4. Each volume is sold separately for $14.97.
