Warner Home Video has officially announced Bryan Singers SUPERMAN RETURNS on DVD, HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disc for Nov. 28 ($28.98 for single-disc DVD with no bonus features, $34.99 for two-disc special edition DVD, $39.99 for HD-DVD/DVD combo and $34.99 for Blu-ray).
Bonus features will include 10 deleted scenes and three hours of docs, including MAKING SUPERMAN RETURNS: FROM SCRIPT TO SCREEN, DESIGNING SUPERMAN: FROM ART AND COSTUME DESIGN TO SET CONSTRUCTION, THE JOY OF LEX: BEHIND THE SCENES WITH KEVIN SPACEY AND HOW FILMMAKERS RECREATED JOR-EL, SUPERMAN'S FATHER, PLAYED BY MARLON BRANDO.
WHV also announced the Nov. 28 release of the 14-disc SUPERMAN: THE ULTIMATE COLLECTOR'S EDITION DVD box set ($99.92). Packaged in a special tin case, the set will include the two-disc SUPERMAN RETURNS: SPECIAL EDITION, the four-disc SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE - SPECIAL EDITION, the TWO-DISC SUPERMAN II: SPECIAL EDITION, the single-disc SUPERMAN II: THE RICHARD DONNER CUT, the single-disc SUPERMAN III and SUPERMAN IV, the YOU WILL BELIEVE: THE CINEMATIC SAGA OF SUPERMAN doc, the previously-released LOOK UP IN THE SKY! THE AMAZING STORY OF SUPERMAN doc and a BRYAN SINGER'S JOURNALS EXTENDED EDITION disc containing all of the directors video web-logs shot on the set of SUPERMAN RETURNS. The case will also include a reproduction of the SUPERMAN #7 comic book, a booklet on the history of the character and a mail-in offer for all five SUPERMAN movie posters.
