Storyboard artist John Dorman has died, according to The Animation Guild Blog. He was 58.

Dorman's career began in 1974 working with Ralph Bakshi on productions such as THE NINE LIVES OF FRITZ THE CAT. He later provided layout work on HEAVY METAL. His storyboard credits include FAT ALBERT, SMURFS, TINY TOON ADVENTURES, THE TICK and THE RIPPING FRIENDS. He boarded such features as THE SWAN PRINCESS, ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN 2 and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: THE ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS. He also provided artwork to the live-action cult flick LEPRECHAUN.
