The Heat Vision blog reports that OBSESSED star Idris Elba has joined the cast of THOR. The actor will play Heimdall, the guardian of the bridge into Asgard.
The Kenneth Branagh-directed adaptation of the Marvel comic also stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), and Natalie Portman (Jane Foster).
Kevin Feige will produce the film, which starts filming in mid-January.
