Nickelodeon Shares ‘Baby Shark’s Big Movie!’ Official Trailer

Joining the Paramount+ holiday collection, the movie premieres December 8 on Nickelodeon and the streamer; official soundtrack drops the same day featuring previously released songs ‘It’s Stariana!’ and ‘Keep Swimmin’ Through.’

Nickelodeon, Paramount+, and The Pinkfong Company shared an official trailer for its upcoming animated musical feature, Baby Shark’s Big Movie. Based on the hugely popular preschool series, the movie follows Baby Shark and his family as they move to Chomp City, the big city of sharks.

The film premieres December 8 on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ as part of the streamer’s holiday collection. The Pinkfong Company distributes the film in Korea, Southeast Asia, and China.

Also dropping on December 8 is Baby Shark’s Big Movie’s official soundtrack, including previously released original songs “It’s Stariana!” and “Keep Swimmin’ Through,” released in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment UK’s Relentless Records. The album launches globally on all music streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music. The songs are composed by Jon Chau, with songs written and produced by Matthew Tishler, Andrew Underberg, Chen Neeman, Doug Rockwell, Tova Litvin, and Pinkfong.

Pinkfong Baby Shark launched in November 2015 on YouTube, and according to Nickelodeon, it became the world’s first video ever to hit 10 billion views on the platform.

In the movie, Baby Shark must leave the world he loves behind when his family moves to the big city, and he must adjust to his new life without his best friend, William. When Baby Shark encounters an evil pop starfish named Stariana, who plans to steal his gift of song to dominate all underwater music, he must break her spell to restore harmony to the seas.
