Hoho, Liddell Release 'Cloudbabies' App

Hoho Entertainment and Studio Liddell announce the release of the first official Cloudbabies app.

The first official Cloudbabies app, created under licence by Studio Liddell, the animation company behind the popular CBeebies series, is now available to download on iTunes.

Cloudbabies is a CG animated show about four enchanting, childlike characters, Baba Pink, Baba Blue, Baba Yellow and Baba Green whose job is to look after the sky and their Sky friends. They live on a big fluffy cloud together with Bobo White, a mischievous little imp. The show has been on air since May 2012.

Featuring six simple games designed specifically for young children to enjoy, the Cloudbabies app allows toddlers to play alongside all their favorite characters from the series.  Drawing on themes and activities from the show, the app also includes some light educational touches such as counting, aspects of gardening, playing music, subtle colour recognition and elements of creative design.

There are "story telling" video clips, music from the series plus introductions to the games from the original TV cast. Players earn and collect a Cloudy Badge as they complete each of the games.  There's even a special secret waiting to be found for young players to discover that changes the whole look of the main menu.

"The creation of this very first Cloudbabies App has been a labour of love over many months but we are really pleased with the result," said Oliver Ellis, joint MD of Hoho Entertainment. "And with so many games to play, the app offers great value for parents.   With the TV series continuing to prove popular, I look forward to this App enjoying the same level of engagement with the Cloudbabies' fans."

The Official Cloudbabies App is available now to download from the Apple App Store for iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, iPad2 and above, iPad Mini, and iPod 5th generation for £2.49. It will be available for certain Android devices later this year.
