The Forest Film Fest is Portlands own annual short film and video festival. The annual mid-May festival is held at the Clinton Street Theater. The festival is an opportunity for local, international, independent and student filmmakers to showcase their work and educate while entertaining moviegoers about the importance of short film. Industry leaders, media professors, peers and a major publication entertainment editor will be among the panel of judges rating the films in the categories of: Best Student Film, Animation, Documentary, Experimental and Short Fiction Film. Honorable Mention awards will also be given. Full Sail Ale Brewing Company, Pepsi Bottling Co. of Portland and Brand Name Prods. Llc are some of the sponsors providing prizes, products or film distribution contracts to selected festival films and winning filmmakers.
