Kate Beckinsale has inked a deal to star in WHITEOUT, an adaptation of Greg Rucka's 1999 Eisner Award-winning comicbook miniseries, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Dominic Sena (SWORDFISH) is set to direct for Joel Silver's Dark Castle Ent. Warner Bros. Pictures will handle distribution.
The comic follows a lone U.S. marshal (Beckinsale) as she investigates Antarctica's first murder. Jon and Erich Hoeber penned the screenplay.
March 5 has been picked as the filming start in Montreal.
Silver and Susan Downey will produce with Steve Richards, Don Carmody and Rucka exec producing. David Gambino is on board as a co-producer.
