9 Story Enters the Olympics of Children’s Television with Three Finalists

9 Story Ent. announced that all three of its recently produced television programs have been selected as finalists for the Prix Jeunesse.

9 Storys Emmy- and Gemini-winning animated show PEEP AND THE BIG WIDE WORLD, as well as SKYLAND and IF THE WORLD WERE A VILLAGE were all named as Prix Jeunesse finalists. Held every two years, the international competition is considered the highest honor in childrens television.

We are absolutely thrilled that our international peers consider 9 Storys work among the best of a world-class field, said Vince Commisso, partner/exec producer at 9 Story Ent. Whether we walk away with awards or not, 9 Story has shown we belong among the worlds top producers of childrens programming.

Established in 1964 with the aim to contribute to improving worldwide television for the young and promoting communication among nations, the Prix Jeunesse is unique because prizes are not awarded by a small, select jury, but rather by all industry participants.

The 2006 Prix Jeunesse festival will be held from May 5-10, 2006, in Munich, Germany.

Founded in 2001, Torontos 9 Story Ent. is a leading Canadian digital animation producer. For further information, visit www.9Story.com.
