Triple Take Media and CowParade Holdings Corp., a world-renowned organization whose cow motif art and collectible figurines have spawned a multimillion dollar franchise, have established a joint venture designed to expand the beloved COWPARADE brand into all areas of media and merchandising.
Launched in Chicago during the summer of 1999, CowParade has burgeoned into the world's public art event with more than 30 exhibits in major cities around the globe including London, Tokyo, New York, Prague, Auckland, Cape Town, Moscow and Sao Paulo. Its replica figurines of event cows have become a major international collectible, while the charities that have partnered for CowParade events have benefited by receiving more than $10 million. In 2006, CowParade will open a new exhibit in Boston with the Jimmy Fund-Dana Farber Cancer Institute and also will stage events in Wisconsin, Edinburgh, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Lisbon and Paris. To date, more than 4,000 artists from student artists to preeminent names have artistically enhanced the CowParade three dimensional, bovine canvas.
CowParade is headquartered in West Hartford, Connecticut, and maintains a European operation based in the U.K.
The Triple Take-CowParade joint venture will serve to develop and bring to the worldwide market a range of media properties for television, film and publishing as well as open up new avenues of licensing and merchandising opportunities.
CowParade oversees an expansive licensing program that is highlighted by its figurines and includes other categories such as credit cards, books, calendars, games, home decor items, jewelry and apparel. Museum Masters Intl, based in New York, is its licensing agent in most countries. Sanrio Far East Co. Ltd., the Tokyo company famous for HELLO KITTY, acts as CowParade's licensing and merchandising partner in Japan.
