Exposure World Wide WebOct. 23, 2006 Dec. 17, 2006Deadline: Nov. 20, 3006

In an unprecedented campaign to turn the spotlight on the countrys best independent, makers of short films, SCI FI Channel, in conjunction with Sundance Channel, will be launching Exposure, an eight-week short film competition that will allow the online community of both websites to crown cinemas next master.

SCIFI.COM (www.scifi.com) and SundanceChannel.com (www.sundancechannel.com) are now accepting submissions of up-and-coming filmmakers best two to eight-minute sci-fi, horror or fantasy shorts. These films will be judged by a committee of SCI FI Channel and Sundance Channel experts, who will review the submissions and post the best ones online each week. Fans will cast their votes on either website to determine a weekly winner, ultimately determining the eight finalists. These eight shorts will be featured in an on-air special to be broadcast on SCI FI Channel preceding the online voting to determine the grand prizewinner. That newly crowned cinema star will be awarded a trip to New York City to pitch a project to SCI FI Channels Pictures Group.

Online voting will begin Oct. 23, 2006 and run through Dec. 17, 2006. For more information visit www.scifi.com/exposure.
