Scholastic Licenses Dragon

Scholastic Media has announced the first licensing deal for the stop-motion preschool series DRAGON, which was recently picked up for a second season on qubo. Aurora World, Inc., signed as the property's exclusive plush licensee, will produce plush in various sizes, backpacks, and pillows, as well as its world-famous mini-pet carriers. The DRAGON plush line is expected to hit shelves in early 2008 and will be available at specialty gift and retail outlets across the U.S. Suggested retail prices will range from $4.99 - $19.99. Scholastic plans to continue to grow awareness of DRAGON by seeking licensees in additional categories such as apparel, footwear, games, and interactive.

Based on the books by Scholastic award-winning children's author Dav Pilkey, creator of the wildly popular CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS books, DRAGON brings to life the delightful stories of an endearing blue dragon who views life from a slightly different angle. The series is co-produced by Cité-Amérique (Canada), scopas medien (Germany) and Image Plus (South Korea).
