After the success of the fourth edition, the Roma Independent Film Festival with the support of the Directorate for Cultural Policies of the City of Rome and with the contribution of the Ministry for Cultural Activities (DGC) and of the Lazio Region is becoming an important appointment for independent cinema, on a national and international level.
This year, too, the festival undertakes to develop collaboration networks with the main production and distribution companies. A great chance for independent filmmakers to present their original works to the Italian audience as an absolute premiere. More than 65 works will be selected for the competition (in the 2005 edition, the festival received more than 1,000 works from 50 countries). The program will be enriched with retrospective events and seminars concerning various aspects of the world of cinema.
