IDT Ent. Gets Sheepish With CG Feature

IDT Ent. has announced the start of production on a new CG-animated feature film, titled SHEEPISH. The film, in production at the companys West Coast headquarters in Burbank, is a comic twist on the old saying beware of wolves in sheeps clothing. Animation will be done at IDT Ent.s studio in Toronto.

When a wolf named Logan violates an age-old covenant not to attack a particular flock, he pays the ultimate price he is turned into a sheep. Horrified that he is trapped inside a wooly furball of a body, Logan has only other sheep to turn to for help, and they in turn teach him to be a better wolf.

Sheepish delivers fun for everyone, says Morris Berger, IDT Ent. ceo, wit and irony for adults and lots of physical humor and enticing characters for kids. Its a universal story with proven audience appeal and is indicative of the kind of family entertainment for which IDT Entertainment is becoming known.

Bart Coughlins debut script is based on his original story idea. Coughlins credits as a character technical director include ANTZ, SHREK, SHARK TALE and the upcoming BEES and FLUSHED AWAY. Directing duo Saul Blinkoff and Elliott Bour will helm the film. Their shared credits include animator stints on such Disney films as BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, ALADDIN, THE LION KING, POCAHONTAS, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, MULAN and TARZAN. They recently directed the direct-to-DVDs KRONKS NEW GROOVE, the sequel to THE EMPERORS NEW GROOVE, as well as WINNIE THE POOH SPRINGTIME WITH ROO and the animated MTV series, SPY GROOVE. Berger, Stephen R. Brown, Janet Healy and Jerry Davis are exec producers.

On May 16, 2006, Liberty Media Corp. and IDT Corp. announced that they have entered into a binding term sheet for the sale of IDT Ent. to Liberty Media. IDT Ent. is a vertically integrated entertainment company that develops, produces, and distributes proprietary and licensed entertainment content.
