According to a report on the LA Times website, famed actor Robert Culp died this morning after a fall outside his Hollywood home.

He reportedly was found outside his home by a jogger, taken to Queen of Angels hospital shortly after 11 a.m. and pronounced dead soon thereafter.

Culp worked steadily in Hollywood since 1959, but it wasn’t until his breakthrough role as Kelly Robinson, opposite Bill Cosby, in the 1965-1968 spy thriller TV show I Spy that he became a star. The show, shot in exotic locations around the world, broke new ground as the first non-comedy series to star an African American actor.

The actor accumulated a large body of work over a 50 year period, including providing voices for the animated shows Robot Chicken and Gargoyles.
