Brosta TV & Rhythm & Hues Form Creative I.P. Partnership

Brosta TV LLC and Rhythm & Hues Studios have entered into a co-producing relationship with the goal of creating original intellectual properties for the global market.

Alliance between Brosta TV LLC, strategic arm of TV Asahi Corporation, Japan’s major nationwide TV network, and the creative concept design wing of Rhythm & Hues Studios, the Academy Award winning animation and effects facility, will begin with an entertainment property for mobile platforms.

LOS ANGELES & TOKYO - January 25th, 2010: Brosta TV LLC and Rhythm & Hues Studios have entered into a co-producing relationship with the goal of creating original intellectual properties for the global market. Both parties aim to conceive and produce cutting edge entertainment blending eastern and western cultures designed to appeal to audiences and consumers worldwide. The initial focus of the alliance is on the development of animated characters and ancillaries for mobile platforms, starting in early 2010, with potential for partnerships in other media, including books, manga (graphic novels), games and eventually films or TV series.

According to Brosta TV CEO Takaharu Nakano, “We believe this is an epoch-making blend between one of the leading creative studios in Hollywood and one of Japan’s rising producers of global entertainment properties. We are very excited about leveraging our reach and experience introducing new experiences for audiences across a variety of media, in partnership with Rhythm & Hues, who will bring their tremendous depth of creative resources.”

Stacy Burstin, executive producer of Rhythm & Hues’ Design division, added “We are very excited about the innovative content this relationship will produce and are confident about its international appeal on the world market. By combining the world-class talent within both R&H and Brosta TV, we will have the ability to create and tell unique stories and produce them through new technologies including mobile and social networks. Our relationship will also take advantage of new and emerging distribution methodologies as well as the traditional entertainment pipeline.”

Specific details about the project are expected to be announced in Spring 2010.
