Paramount Pictures has announced that Emmy Award-winning actor Danny Glover (LETHAL WEAPON), Sam Elliott (HULK) and Wanda Sykes (TVs CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM) have joined the voice cast of the CG feature, THE BARNYARD. The three new cast members will be joining Kevin James (TVs THE KING OF QUEENS) and Courteney Cox (TVs FRIENDS). The film is written, produced and directed by Steve Oedekerk (BRUCE ALMIGHTY, ACE VENTURA).
The film will take a humorous look at what really happens in a barnyard when the farmer is away. Unbeknownst to us, farm animals can walk, talk and do just about anything humans do. Otis (James) and his misfit friends enjoy playing tricks on humans, singing, dancing and partying.
Glover will lend his voice as Miles the older and wiser mule. Elliott will voice Ben the cow, patriarch of the barnyard and father of Otis. Sykes will lend her voice to Bessy the cow, the doubtful and protective friend of Otis' love interest, Daisy (Cox).
Paul Marshal serves as producer. Exec producers are Julia Pistor and Albie Hecht.
