Im 25 and based in the UK. I studied animation at University and I'm currently looking to go freelance after a period of hiatus. I've done bits and bobs as favours for friends and paid work occassionally. I'm wondering, since I haven't been in a studio before or worked on any major productions etc, what would be a reasonable start rate? I've only thought about this today after being prodded by a friend's friend on facebook for examples of hour rates. I dont actually really have one to be honest. Sometimes I take work for lump sums, sometimes I do work for a minimum wage rate, depends on the clients. Im still very new to this whole freelance work thing, so Im wondering what others here would recommend or think?
