The Millefeuille event has started with the 2005 e-magiciens festival (Rencontres Européennes de la Jeune Création Numérique www.youngcreation.net) and will end at the 2006 edition.
The «Millefeuille» gives the opportunity to join a new type of cooperative work. More than 50 artists from across the world will work on a video clip, one after the other (one week each), during a year, through Internet.
As the name suggests, the Millefeuille recipe involves superimposing layers of images. The apprentice cooks are invited, by email, to work - one by one - on the same minute of animated film. All techniques of animations are allowed (2D, 3D, stop-motion...).
The Millefeuille project has already started with participants from Ukraine, Senegal, Brazil, China ....
