Slamdance & Hammer Museum Host Los Angeles Based Directors Screening

At 7:00 pm, the Slamdance Film Festival and the Hammer Museum present an evening of short films directed by Los Angeles-based directors. The program features nine short films, ranging from animation to comedy, culled from the 2007 and 2006 Slamdance Film Festivals. The content is for mature audiences.

Animated films screening will include:

DRAGON (8 min) Directed by Troy Morgan A stop-motion fable about an orphaned girl's ability to bring the darkest visions of her subconscious to life simply by drawing them.

AFRICA PARTING (7 min) Directed by Robyn Yannoukos and Brian LoSchiavo The film is about the deconstruction of an identity invested in a history of violence and destruction during the apartheid era in South Africa.

LEFT AND LEAVE (10 min) Directed by Yongchu Suh An improvised left-handed pencil drawing trying to reveal the realm of the subconscious.
