Hello.

Just wanted to find out -

Who is going to Annecy this June. It is the BEST animation festival in Europe - maybe the world.

I know a few folks going from AWN and other places...anyone in Europe planning to attend? Maybe we could have a meal or meet at a Cafe somewhere.

I'm sorry, but I highly doubt my travels will take me to France this year. (Budgetary reasons, mostly.)
You mentioned Frankfurt, though. Is there anything going on there before July?

I've never been to Annecy, so I started planning to go there, and I can't afford it even if I drive up there, stay in a tiny tent and eat tinned tuna for the entire duration of the festival... snif

Doubt

Annecy

I will be attending the whole week of the festival. Still looking for a hotel though. I camped last year but it was a bit too far from the venues.
I was thinking an AWN Forums picnic would be cool. During the lunch break?
Looking forward to meeting some of you there.

Sarah, Dan and Ron from AWN will be there

We go every year. It's one of the most important events for us each year, a wonderful opportunity to see way too many films, reconnect with way too many friends, meet way to many new friends and eat way too much bread and cheese.

I understand it's quite an expense. If anyone is wavering on whether or not to go, I encourage you to get off the fence and go.
