Fx Affects.
Deep Rising, a live-action underwater adventure film released to
U.S. audiences on January 30, features a monstrous animated sea creature
created by visual effects and animation teams at Dream Quest Images,
Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) and Banned From The Ranch Entertainment.
The film ranked sixth in U.S. box office on it's opening weekend, bringing
in approximately $4.6 million. . . . Paris-based animation and effects
studio SPARX created all of the visual effects for Ma Vie en
Rose, winner of the Golden Globe for best foreign film. The film's
effects were created with Wavefront's Explore and Dynamation software packages.
