First Animated Muppets Made with Autodesk Softimage Software

For the first time, a 3D animated series is part of the "Sesame Street" television program. The program's 40th anniversary season debuted today, including computer-generated (CG) segments delivered by SpeakeasyFX and made with Autodesk Softimage software from Autodesk, Inc.

SpongeBob SquarePants’s been around for either a decade or ‘eleventy-seven’ years. Scooby Doo aside, I can’t think of another TV cartoon character who’s broken into the mainstream with the same staying power as the classic Warner and Disney characters. The Flintstones and Scoob may be fondly remembered by many, but when was the last time you completely cracked up watching them? (For me frankly, never.)

Berenstain Bears Coming to the Big Screen

Walden Media is acquiring the film rights to the bestselling book series The Berenstain Bears. Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps, Corus Entertainment Inc.’s Nelvana and Walden Media will produce the family comedy which will be a live action film mixed with computer generated characters.
