Geeked Week, the streamers free virtual event, runs June 7-11 across the @NetflixGeeked social channels; catch exclusive news, trailers, art, and drop-ins from stars of popular shows including ‘Stranger Things,’ ‘Castlevania,’ and ‘The Old Guard.’

Program lineup and list of presenters revealed for this year’s event, presented in collaboration with the Annecy International Animation Festival and Mifa 2021 hybrid editions, viewable beginning June 14; this year’s theme is ‘The Business Case for Diversity.’

Indian animation pioneer, Ketan Mehta and filmmaker, artist, and academic Professor Nina Sabnani to be honored at this year’s virtual summit; registration is open and free for the event, which runs May 4-8.  

‘Then & Now Track’ welcomes the visual effects pioneer, who will talk on ‘The Cinema of the Future;’ conference runs online May 4-6.

With the pandemic still to be reckoned with, event will go virtual again this year, with an extended run set for September 22 – October 3; the best of the usual ‘in person’ activities will be featured and available from the safety and comfort of home; submissions still being accepted through May 31.

Program highlights include feature film animation competition, screenings, film talks, and free live-streams; notable speakers include Oscar-nominated ‘Wolfwalkers’ director Tomm Moore and David Silverman, director of ‘Extinct.’

The event features three days of panels and keynotes with topics including ‘Branded Content in Digital Space - Now & Tomorrow,’ ‘Can Digital Content Change the World?,’ and ‘Digital Distribution & Co-production.’

The free online event starts tomorrow, using the latest technology to deliver a world class event to a global audience; attendees can participate in masterclasses, the perfect pitch boot camp, and discussions on industry trends – the event kicks off with a keynote by Jamaica's Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
