iVOD preschool net Puff TV has inked an exclusive deal with PorchLight Ent. for its leading CGI series JAY JAY THE JET PLANE, according to KIDSCREEN. The agreement includes a number of European territories, as well as Canada. Puff will also develop interactive TV VOD games based on the property.
JAY JAY airs daily in the U.S. on PBS and Sprout TV, and is also available internationally in more than 50 countries.

MIP TV First Announcements
MIP TV (April 2-6, 2001, Cannes, France) is one of the premiere television conferences and markets in the world. The six-day event brings together production companies and distributors from all over the globe. The conference includes a vast array of panels and round-table discussions with some of the world's top professionals. MIP TV 2000 scored a hit with over 11,000 participants, representing 2,776 companies from 100 countries. The countries most represented in terms of stands were: France, US, UK, Canada and Germany.
TV Loonland Increased Earnings Estimates By Four Times
On Monday, November 6, 2000, German children's TV producer and rights buyer TV Loonland announced that it expects annual sales to top DM127 million (US$55.9 million) for 2000. This report is almost four times its original estimate of DM32.7 million ($14.4 million) when the German company went public in March. It's pretax profit is estimated to be DM25.5 million ($11.2 million), increased from DM18.6 million ($8.2 million). TV Loonland attributes the growth to its recent international acquisitions, including the purchase of France's Salsa Distribution and U.K. production studio Telemagination.
