The sequel to Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ will hit theaters October 3, 2025 under the DC Elseworlds banner, separate from the new DC Universe core continuity just revealed by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

The upcoming shows – almost all live-action - make up ‘Chapter 1’ of the new core, interconnected DC Universe; the first film, ‘Superman: Legacy,’ hits theaters July 11, 2025.

Filming for the prequel, set on Earth 70 years from now, sans franchise heroine Ripley, will commence later this year.

In another money-saving move from Warner Bros. Discovery, the final season of the post-apocalyptic drama has been cut from its mother network, and is being shopped to other outlets.

Premiering February 1, the live-action science fiction series follows the crew of spacecraft Ark One as they battle to survive long enough to fulfill their mission to save the human race by colonizing a new planet.

Amazon Studios head Vernon Sanders assures fans the first season is ‘incredibly true to the source material,’ despite the synopsis seemingly omitting game events preceding 2018’s ‘God of War’ soft reboot. 

According to the famed franchise’s creator, while crowd favorite ‘House of the Dragon’ will move forward to its second season, all other spinoffs not yet greenlit have been ‘shelved.’
