Five-minute VR film experience created by developers Jack Caron, Todd Bryant, Omer Shapira and Uros Otasevic and shot in 6K is rendered using the Unreal Engine 4 game engine accelerated by NVIDIA Quadro M6000 GPUs.
CarpeDiem feature is directed by Jean-François Pouliot and co-director François Brisson and produced by Marie-Claude Beauchamp; Ross Lynch, Sandra Oh, Angela Galuppo, Lucinda Davis, Sonja Ball, Don Shepherd, Jenna Wheeler, Heidi Lynne Weeks, Elisabeth MacRae and Holly Gauthier lead all-star voice cast.
Twelve animated shorts are selected to screen in competition, including ‘Bob Dylan Hates Me,’ ‘A Coat Made Dark,’ ‘Deer Flower,’ ‘Edmond,’ ‘Glove,’ ‘The Grandfather Drum,’ ‘The Itching,’ ‘Life Smartphone,’ ‘Limbo Limbo Travel,’ ‘Pombo Loves You,’ Shiny’ and ‘Waves '98.’
An interactive experience “for human beings between 5 and 105 years old,” ‘Way to Go’ is the follow-up to Morisset’s 2014 SXSW winner ‘BLA BLA.’
