Is Hangover Star Green Lantern?

Hitfix is reporting that HANGOVER star Bradley Cooper is a top contender for the lead in GREEN LANTERN. CASINO ROYALE's Martin Campbell is set to direct. Cooper has also had roles in the feature films WEDDING CRASHERS, YES MAN, and HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU, and TV roles on ALIAS, KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL, and NIP/TUCK.

Fox Recycles Used Guys

After pulling the plug on the project three years ago, Fox is reinventing the sci-fi comedy USED GUYS, according to VARIETY. Ben Stiller is still attached as star and produce, but Jim Carrey is out and LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE directing team of Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton are set to replace Jay Roach. In addition, Reese Witherspoon is in talks to star as well.

The story follows two pleasure clones that have run out of their usefulness.

For fanboys who have always wondered who would win in a fight: Galdalf vs. Darth Vader or Neo vs. Harry Potter, HEROES actor Milo Ventimiglia is prepared to answer.

He will star and co-produce ULTRADOME, a scripted web show where fans can settle hypothetical disputes in a vfx showdown, reports THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER's The Live Feed.

Sarah Connor Chronicles Star Could be Headed to Elm Street

Recently (though unconfirmed) cancelled TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES star Thomas Dekker is in final negotiations to star as Jessie in the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET re-do, according to SHOCKTILYOUDROP.com.

Jackie Earle Haley and Kyle Gallner are already onboard the Warner Bros./New Line film. Samuel Bayer is directing. Platinum Dunes is producing with Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form producing.

The film is set for an April 16, 2010 bow.

AMC to Exclusively Offer Star Trek Gift Cards

AMC Ent. will offer STAR TREK-themed gift cards before the movie hits the big screen. This limited-edition series of gift cards are only available at AMC and give moviegoers a chance to collect all four cards featuring Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Nero (Eric Bana) and Uhura (Zoe Saldana).

Toei & FUNimation Announce Digital Partnership

FUNimation Ent. and Japanese producer Toei Animation Co. have entered into a digital content partnership in which the U.S. anime leader will distribute seven series from Toei's catalog starting Friday, April 3.

English-subtitled episodes from AIR MASTER, CAPTAIN HARLOCK, DIGIMON ADVENTURE 02, FIST OF THE NORTH STAR, GALAXY EXPRESS, PRETTY CURE and SLAM DUNK will be offered in the U.S. by streaming via FUNimation's online video portal, www.funimation.com/video.

LucasArts and Sony Online Ent. will release GALACTIC HUNTERS this March, the second expansion to their STAR WARS Galaxies trading card game.

Paramount Home Ent., for the first time, will release all the original STAR TREK films from the '70s and '80s and the original 1960s-era TV show to Blu-ray.

The releases begin April 28 with the seven-disc, 29-episode Blu-ray set of "STAR TREK: The Original Series" from CBS Home Ent. and Paramount Home Ent.

Star Wars Coming to London Stage

BBC NEWS is reporting that STAR WARS: A MUSICAL JOURNEY will debut in London in April, then tour Europe.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will play a live score as excerpt from the six films are shown onscreen. The show was put together by Lucasfilm and composer John Williams. It will not have actors playing characters, but will feature live narrators.

The six films in the STAR WARS saga have been edited down to two hours and Williams has "painstakingly rewritten" the music he wrote, said a statement from Lucasfilm.

Star Trek Coming to IMAX in May

Paramount Pictures' STAR TREK, from director J.J. Abrams, will be simultaneously released to both IMAX and conventional theatres worldwide on May 8, 2009.

STAR TREK, which chronicles the early days of James T. Kirk and his fellow USS Enterprise crew members, will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology. Pulitzer-Prize Winning Playwright To Pen Spider-Man 4

David Lindsay-Abaire, who won a Pulitzer Prize for his play RABBIT HOLE, is in final negotiations to write Columbia's SPIDER-MAN 4, reports THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

Sam Raimi is already confirmed to direct, with Tobey Maguire to star. Series producers Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad are also on board, with star Kirsten Dunst expected to also return.
