DAY & NIGHT (2010) (****)

This endlessly clever short is one of the best produced by Pixar. Teddy Newton’s film features two 2D characters with a CG world alive in their bodies. One represents day and the other night. When Night sees the beautiful women sunbathing by the pool inside Day, a howl of jealousy bellows from him. He tries to take what day has, but every attempt shows that things that go on in the light are not the same in the dark.

International Short Film Festival Leuven 2009 Awards Announced

‘C’est dimanche’ of French film maker Samir Guesni received the Jury Award of the European Short Film Competition of the International Short Film Festival Leuven. The CANVAS Audience Award in this competition went to Romanian Gabriel Sirbu’s ‘Life’s hard’. The festival’s fifteenth edition welcomed over 8,000 visitors, a bit more than last year.

Monsters vs. Aliens DVD to Include B.O.B. Short

The MONSTERS VS. ALIENS DVD and Blu-ray will arrive on Earth September 29, 2009 and will include the world premiere of the brand new 3D adventure B.O.B.'S BIG BREAK, starring everyone's favorite gelatinous hero.
