4Kids Inks New Deals For Chaotic Series in France, U.K.

On the heels of MIPCOM 2008, 4Kids Ent. has finalized licensing agreements with broadcasters in France and the U.K. for the first season of CHAOTIC.

CHAOTIC (Season One) is scheduled to launch on Gulli TV in France, Rede TV in Brazil and Jetix in the U.K., beginning first quarter 2009.

The property's second season, CHAOTIC: M'ARRILLIAN INVASION, has also been renewed by Teletoon in Canada and Jetix in Latin America. Broadcast sales of the series in Germany, Italy and other markets are expected to close by end of the calendar year.

The Large Family Charges into Second Season

U.K. children's television producer Coolabi Productions has begun production on the second season of THE LARGE FAMILY (26x11) for transmission in the U.K. and France.

Based on the best-selling books by Jill Murphy, the 2D cel animated series chronicles the domestic chaos of an all-too-human elephant family, and proved a massive hit with viewers when it launched in October 2007, the first season becoming one of the best rated shows on Cbeebies in the UK and TF1 in France. The series also started airing on Disney Channel France in October 2008.

Sci Fi's Sanctuary Picked Up For Season 2

Sci Fi has greenlit production on a second season of SANCTUARY, the channel's groundbreaking new hit series, ordering 13 new hours. SANCTUARY is slated to begin production in Vancouver early next year for a 2009 premiere.

More than three million viewers tuned in to the premiere of SANCTUARY on October 3, 2008 making it the highest rated original series premiere since EUREKA debuted in July 2006.

King of the Hill Might Go To ABC

On the heels of FOX's cancellation of KING OF THE HILL, at least one network has expressed interest in picking it up for a 14th season, per VARIETY.

Insiders at 20th Century Fox confirmed to VARIETY that a network was interested, largely believed to be ABC. The show would make a good companion piece to the network's upcoming animated comedy THE GOODE FAMILY, the shows have the same exec producers (Mike Judge, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky) and it is likely too expensive to get a pickup at a cable network like Comedy Central, FX or Cartoon Network.

Mr. Men Show Gets Second Season

Following the successful premieres earlier this year of THE MR. MEN SHOW on Cartoon Network in the U.S. and Five in the U.K., Chorion's broadcast partners have committed to a second season of the animated sketch show. A further 52x11 minutes are in production for broadcast in 2009, bringing the total number of episodes available to 104.

Open Season Sequel Direct To Video In January

Boog, Elliot, Mr. Weenie and all the rebellious woodland creatures are back in Sony Pictures Animation's OPEN SEASON 2, available on DVD, Blu-ray High Def and PSP January 27, 2009 from Sony Pictures Home Ent.

The all-CG animated follow-up to the $190 million box office hit OPEN SEASON, OPEN SEASON 2 features the voice talents of Joel McHale (E!'s THE SOUP), Mike Epps (THE HONEYMOONERS), Jane Krakowski (TV's 30 ROCK), Billy Connolly (X FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE), Crispin Glover (BACK TO THE FUTURE) and Steven Schirripa (TV's THE SOPRANOS).

Nickelodeon's Yo Gabba Gabba! Returns For Star-Studded Season Two

Some of the hippest names in movies, television, music and sports are hanging out with DJ Lance Rock, Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee and Plex on the second season (20 new episodes) of Nick Jr.'s award-winning live-action music series YO GABBA GABBA!.

Preschoolers will be groovin' to the funky YO GABBA GABBA! beats when the series returns with a week of brand-new episodes, Monday, September 22 through Friday, September 26, at 11:30 a.m. (ET/PT).

4Kids Entertainment Releases Fall TV Lineup

4Kids Ent. unveiled its Saturday lineup of fall programs for FOX and The CW Network. Debuting September 13, the schedule reflects nine hours of national television programming on two broadcast networks.

TheCW4Kids, the five-hour block of programs on The CW Network (Saturdays 7 a.m.-Noon), features the debut of two new series: TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: BACK TO THE SEWER and YU-GI-OH! 5D'S.

Bo on the GO! Clocks Up Third Season And New Sales

DECODE Enterprises has made further international sales of Halifax Film's preschool series BO ON THE GO!. The series has also been commissioned for a third season by CBC in Canada, where it is currently one of the broadcaster's highest-rated preschool shows.

DECODE has sold season one to RAI SAT in Italy and season two to the Disney Channel in Spain. MNET/KTV in South Africa and TG4 in Ireland have taken TV rights for both seasons one and two. Prava I Prevodi has acquired home video and broadcast rights for both seasons for Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.

The Bugs Are Back -- Erky Perky Season 3 In Pre-Production

The 3D animated children's series ERKY PERKY is in pre-production for a third season. The (26x11) episodes will again be a co-production from Ambience Ent. of Australia and CCI Ent. of Canada.

Season three of ERKY PERKY follows the hilarious adventures of two bumbling bugs on the hunt for food in and around an uncomfortably clean kitchen, but the two little bugs are now a little wiser to the ways of their nemesis Mad Margaret and her crew.

Nick Jr. Premieres Season Five Of Dora The Explorer

Nick Jr. will premiere season five of DORA THE EXPLORER with a week-long marathon that begins with brand-new episodes from Monday, September 15, through Thursday, September 18, at 10:30 a.m. (ET/PT) and culminates in a five-hour marathon on Friday, Sept. 19 (9 a.m.-2 p.m. ET/PT), that will include all four new episodes in addition to various movies and specials from previous years.

Sam & Max Season Two On DVD Now

The Collector's DVD for the acclaimed game series SAM & MAX Season Two is available for ordering now from Telltale. Telltale has given the second season of "gaming's first sitcom" the premium boxed-set treatment that has become common for television favorites, with behind-the-scenes extras and loads of special features.
