BRB Presents First Stereoscopic Animated TV Series

“Does it have a beak of a thousand colors? Are its ears enormous? Does it only eat rinds? What creature is hiding in the box? Guess and say ZOO-KA-BOO!” That is the narrative essence of the new series being prepared by BRB Internacional, set to become the first series to use 3D Stereoscopic technology -- visual effects through special glasses – for broadcast on TV, Low-Demand Internet Video and BluRay.

BBC To Air BRB’s 3D Series Bernard

During MIP-TV this week in Cannes, production company BRB Internacional has just closed the sale of its first CG series, BERNARD, to the BBC, which is likely to broadcast the series in 2007. Consisting of 52 episodes in the sketch genre, this series, co-produced by BRB, its creative studio Screen 21, EBS, M6 and RG, is entirely in High-Definition.

BRB Secures Partners For The Invisible Man And Sales For Nico

Spanish-based animation company BRB Internacional has secured two major European co-production partners for THE INVISIBLE MAN (26 x half hours). Italian state broadcaster RAI and French animation house Dargaud Marina are teaming up with BRB Internacional to co-produce the unique series, which is aimed at 8-12 year olds. The deal gives RAI exclusive Italian speaking rights, Dargaud Marina exclusive French speaking rights, plus some other distribution territories, with BRB Internacional and Dargaud Marina handling distribution for the rest of the world.

BRB Secures Finance Deal With Iberian Bank

Spanish animation company BRB Internacional announced at MIP TV a new major financing deal, which will help them expand their operations. Banco Espírito Santo de Investimento (BESI), an Iberian bank, has acquired 25% of BRB International. BESI is a major player in Portugal and Brazil, and part of the NYSE listed Espirito Santo Group (NYSE:ESF). The move enables BRB Internacional to consolidate and increase its position in the international audio-visual market.
