DC Comics legends Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman and Aquaman return to fight for justice and protect the good people of planet Earth in the first season of the SUPER FRIENDS HOUR. Besides fighting evil, our super heroes rescue citizens who find themselves in harm's way, providing some lessons for all of us. This incarnation of the Super Friends also includes the shape-shifting Wonder Twins, Zan and Jayna, and their space monkey, Gleek. SUPER FRIENDS also features guest stars Black Vulcan, Apache Chief, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, and new villains such as the Hydronoids and Dr. Cranum.

On Friday Nov. 24, 2006, PBS KIDS is celebrating friendship with two-hours of themed preschool programming and online games for kids, as well as resources for parents to extend their child's learning beyond the screen. Miss Lori and Hooper, hosts of the PBS KIDS preschool block, will give kids ideas for how to stay in touch with long-distance friends and episodes from CURIOUS GEORGE, CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG, DRAGON TALES and IT'S A BIG BIG WORLD. In addition, music videos featuring PBS KIDS characters will premiere throughout the block and online at pbskids.org.

The Fremantle Corp. has acquired the new combined 2D and 3D animated production, FRIENDS AND HEROES. The distribution company will showcase the animated series at MIPCOM along with a substantial list of previously announced programming. This series will also be made available at MIPCOM Jr.

After three years in the making, the animated family action-adventure FRIENDS AND HEROES is due for delivery in September 2006.

Set in the turbulent times of the Roman Empire, FRIENDS AND HEROES follows the adventures of Macky, Portia and their friends across the ancient world and right to the heart of the Empire: Rome. As they fight for freedom, justice and even survival against the might of the Roman Empire, they become friends and then, in turn, heroes.

Warner Home Video (WHV) and DIC Ent. (DIC) have announced the release date for TROLLZ VOLUME 1: BEST FRIENDS FOR LIFE and TROLLZ VOLUME 2: MAGIC OF THE FIVE, the first two of nine planned movies from the newly launched Trollz property. Both full-length, made-for-video animated movies will be available in stores Sept. 6 and will retail for $19.98.
