Channel Frederator, the largest Internet cartoon network in the world and one of the founding networks of Next New Networks, today announced the nominations for its second annual Channel Frederator Awards.

Frederator Moving Into 2D Features

Frederator Studios is now branching out into 2D genre features with the launch of Frederator Films, according to VARIETY. Frederator head Fred Seibert will produce the films with animation vet Kevin Kolde and talent management head/producer Eric Gardner. The films will be budgeted under $20 million.

Channel Frederator (, the world's original cartoon podcast, announced the winners of its First Annual Channel Frederator Awards. The awards, which mark the one-year celebration of Channel Frederator's cartoon podcasting, are the first of their kind to honor the films and filmmakers in the rapidly growing category of user submitted and user generated video on the Internet.

Channel Frederator To Award First Freddies

On Jan. 24, 2007, Channel Frederator ( will present "The Freddies," Channel Frederator's first annual awards ceremony. Held at Cinespace in Hollywood, the awards will recognize a wide array of achievements seen on Channel Frederator's weekly podcasts throughout the year. The awards, which range from "Cartoon of the Year" to "Cartoon Most Likely to be Censored by the FCC," will be distributed in the form of an eight-inch replica of Joe Robot, the spokesrobot for Channel Frederator.

Fred-Ex offers Robotic Animation Collaboration

Frederator has assembled a global group of enthusiastic animation directors and creators to answer in a toon an age-old question: "What is it like to be a robot?"

Frederator To Podcast Public Domain Toons

Frederator Studios has launched ReFrederator (, the worlds first daily vintage cartoon video podcast.

ReFrederator will feature classic cartoons from the public domain such as Bugs Bunny, Mighty Mouse, Daffy Duck, Betty Boop, Little Lulu, Porky Pig, Donald Duck and Felix the Cat, as well as fairy tales and musicals. Every 7-9 minute podcast will feature a short-form classic cartoon and promotional packaging and branding from ReFrederator. New episodes will appear daily Monday through Friday, grouped into weekly themes.

Frederator Studios Launches Channel Frederator for Cartoon Podcasts

Frederator Studios founder Fred Seibert has launched Channel Frederator, the world's first cartoon video podcast created expressly for distribution of world-class content on portable video devices, such as the Apple iPod and the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Episodes released weekly will contain several shorts from original and vintage cartoons submitted by producers from around the world, packaged into 10- to 15-minute episodes by the Channel Frederator programming team.
