The 17th International Animation Film Festival Tindirindis 2019, which will be held from November 28 - December 1 in Vilnius, Lithuania, is now open for submissions.
Animakom, the second edition, is an international animation festival with live screenings and with awards that will take place in Bilbao from 11 to 15 April 2018. The submission deadline is 20 February 2018.
Over these past 10 years of existence the Animator Festival in Poznan has grown in respect internationally so it was a lovely honor to be invited back this year to help celebrate the festival’s 10th anniversary.
China was in the spotlight this year at Annecy 2017, and their presence was very evident with 9 special programs and a film in the Feature Film Competition. Most people in the West know very little about the rich history of Chinese animation so this was a wonderful opportunity to fill this void.

For seven days the beautiful city of Sofia becomes the center of Bulgaria’s animation world with the opening of the Golden Kuker International Animation Film Festival. This year the festival received 1,117 films from 87 countries. 205 films were chosen by the selection committee to be screened in 10 competition categories.
In the past year I have been invited to be on the jury of three different festivals in Warsaw and Krakow Poland resulting in my developing a deep appreciation of Polish festivals.
KLIK Animation Festival in Amsterdam has come a long way in its 10 year history. From its beginnings in 2007 as a primarily student festival at the Kriterian Theatre to the 2017 edition at the prestigious Eye Film Institute, KLIK has grown into an important event on the European festival calendar.

KROK is a joint Russian/Ukrainian festival that takes place on a boat, and even the current tense political situation between the two countries and the death of Eduard Nazarov, one of the festivals three Presidents, couldn’t dampen spirits as we sailed from Moscow to Yaroslavl.
Be there! Corfu Animation Festival, an international competitive festival organized by ANIMATE CORFU NGO since 2011 in Corfu, Greece, once more invites international filmmakers to submit their animation films. Submission deadline: 21st December 2016.

Animafest Zagreb is the second oldest animation festival in the world, after the Annecy International Animation Festival. Putting Nordic/Baltic Animation in the Spotlight - The Frederikstad Animation Festival presents the opportunity to see the best of the Nordic and Baltic animation, much of which is not shown at any other festival.
The 14th Euganea Film Festival takes place over 3 different weekends in 3 different Northern Italian cities where over 60 films were screened. The first weekend in the beautiful city of Este was devoted to animation. The documentary and short live action films were shown in two other cities on following weekends with different juries.
Founded in 1955, DOK Leipzig is the oldest documentary festival in the world, and from its beginning, animated films were part of the program, which today extends into crossmedia art. Dok Leipzig 2015 will be from 26 Oct. until 1 Nov. this year.
Initiated by the Public Enterprise “Belgrade Fortress”, FESA – Festival of European Student Animation, was established in 2012 under the auspices of the Serbian Ministry for Culture.
The main goal of the festival is to promote the art of animation from the European countries and to create conditions that will enable the younger generation to conquer new concepts and new technologies.
The Festival of European Student Animation is going to be held on August 29th and 30th 2015.
The Festival comprises of the Student's Competition programme (film schools and single student authors).
This year’s competition theme is SYMBOLS in the widest sense of the terms.
