CEE Animation Forum (formally Visegrad Animation Forum) is a leading pitching event for animated films in Central and Eastern Europe.

This is a truly unique opportunity. Three-day professional workshops and exclusive masterclasses run by prominent figures of world animation are one of several reasons to come to Poland on 8-12 October. During the Animarkt Stop Motion Forum 2019 Barry Purves, Juan Soto, Angela Poschet, and Christine Polis will share their knowledge with participants. Applications for workshops and masterclasses can be submitted until 5th September, the participation is free.

For a festival noted for puppet and 2D animation, the emphasis on 3D this year was a big departure. Anifilm program director Pavel Horacek explained “Animators sometimes unjustly view 3D computer animation as a bad, cold, commercial technique, usually associated with mainstream entertainment.
ANIMARKT Pitching 2018 – submit a project of your stop motion short
Projects of animated shorts and TV special episodes made with the use of puppet technique can take part in the pitching organized for the second time during ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum. The deadline for submissions is July 31st.
The 25th birthday celebration edition of the International Trickfilm Festival in Stuttgart, Germany was bigger than ever with an expanded game zone and more than 200 individual events. Running concurrently with the Trickfilm Festival for four days, the FMX Conference on Animation, Effects, Games, and Immersive Media provided an excellent over view of the industries’ present state and even more important its future. This year FMX was completely sold out with 4,000 visitors who listened to 264 speakers.
KROK festival 2018 is now accepting films for the selection. The deadline for submitting films is June 10th, 2018.
The 2018 edition of Anima Brussels was an exceptional mixture of special events and competition screenings. First and foremost was the salute to Estonian animation in honor of the 100 year anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Estonia.
