Lil' Bush On DVD, Season 2 Announced

The uncensored first season of LIL' BUSH: RESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES will hit stores on March 11, two days before the second season premieres on Comedy Central.

During the inaugural season viewers saw Lil' Bush and Tony Blair become cheerleaders, the Lil' Gang unleash weapons of mass destruction and Lil' Bush make a statement with his Aquaman underpants while facing off against Lil' Kim Jong Il.

The Gang also went on a panty raid against an Al Qaeda training camp and attempted to speed up global warming.

Comedy Writers Enter Rat Race for Super-Ego Game

Super-Ego Games announced that it has tapped renowned New York City comedians to write and voice its recently announced game RAT RACE, the first-ever episodic console game, coming to the PlayStation Network this winter. The company has enlisted comedic talent from the NYC stand-up comedy circuit and from popular shows including SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN, FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS and more. Comedian Victor Varnado leads the group as head writer and voice director at Super-Ego Games.

Veteran programmer Lauren Corrao has been named president, original programming and development for Comedy Central. Comedy Central Wants to Build Gay Robot

Originally optioned as a potential live-action series, GAY ROBOT is now being built as an animated project on Comedy Central, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Based on a character from Adam Sandler's comedy album SHHH... DON'T TELL, the TV project is from Sony Pictures Television and Sandler and Jack Giarraputo's Happy Madison.

A live-action pilot was made in 2005, but not picked up for series. Subsequently, SPT posted the pilot on MySpace, BitTorrent and Grouper, where it began to develop a deal of buzz.

Ad Agency Sells Toon to Comedy Central

Advertising agency, J Walter Thompson, has inked an agreement with Comedy Central to develop its FLEX 'N' ZEPHYR animated shorts for ComedyCentral.com, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. The shorts series were an agency experiment to help brand clients better target given demos. JWT's 15-month-old arm, the Nursery, produces the animated shorts, which are geared toward young males.

Drawn Together Creators Sign with FOX

Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser, creator of Comedy Central's animated series DRAWN TOGETHER, have signed a deal with 20th Century Fox TV, VARIETY reports. The two-year, seven-figure agreement will have the DRAWN duo developing new comedies as well as working on FOX series already in production.

The two-year deal, pegged in the seven-figure range, calls for Silverstein and Jeser to develop new comedy projects plus work on existing 20th series.

Comedy Central Launches Late-Night Series Web Shows

Comedy Central will premiere the first of six episodes of WEB SHOWS, a new on-air half-hour late-night series featuring all original broadband programming from comedycentral.com and AtomFilms on March 5, 2007, at 2:00 am with encores on Thursday nights at 2:00 am.

This is Comedy Central's first on-air collaboration with AtomFilms, which are both are divisions of MTV Networks, a unit of Viacom.

Larry the Cable Guy will develop a half-hour animated pilot with Comedy Central.

Created and written by Larry the Cable Guy and TOY STORY writers Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow, the pilot stars Larry the Cable Guy as a misguided but well-intentioned co-owner of a cable TV station. The station's other owner is a woman of class and taste who does not share his vision for programming, preferring instead a more traditional station lineup to Larry's experimental, half-baked show ideas. They seldom agree on anything but she is stuck with Larry and his push-the-envelope programs.
