On March 9, VFX supervisors from the 5 Best Visual Effects Oscar nominated films come together in a free VIEW Conference virtual panel; the event is offered in partnership with OGR and the VFX Festival.
The in-person and virtual conference is off and running - highlights include SideFX’s software reveal, talks by Epic Games, educational workshops and coming Friday, a virtual making-of panel about Walt Disney Animation Studio’s latest animated feature – and registration is free.
A free program of 55 pieces, selected by the Tribeca Film Festival, Veer VR and Positron, including 23 in the Development Showcase, will be open to VR users through the Museum of Other Realities.
Francesco Filippi’s ‘Red Hands’ wins the Italianmix for best short; ‘Trois Francs, Six Sous,’ and ‘Blieschow’ also take top honors.
Running October 18-20, the festival will showcase 10 new animated features and special presentations, including ‘I Lost My Body,’ ‘Ne Zha,’ ‘White Snake’ and ‘No. 7 Cherry Lane.’
