Cardiff Animation Festival and Cape Town International Animation Festival are collaborating on a virtual event that features a week of curated screenings, workshops, and Q+As; programs will feature Welsh and African animated shorts previously screened at the respective festivals over the past 5 years.
Online offerings running October 24-November 1 to include full shorts program; a session with Welsh animator, Simon Chong, currently a director on Fox’s ‘Bob’s Burgers;’ and a behind the scenes look at, ‘Heart of Darkness,’ the world’s first sand-animated feature film.
Wales event adds special screening of ‘Isle of Dogs’ and Q&A with crew members, plus a look at the stop-motion feature 'Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires.'
Four-day event will feature an advance screening of ‘The Breadwinner’ plus a program of 99 shorts in competition.
