South Africa-based company also has the short film ‘Belly Flop’ screening during the festival’s closing ceremony and ‘The Highway Rat’ TV special, which it animated for Magic Light Pictures, is in competition.
U.K.-South Africa co-production, created by Zambian writer Malenga Mulendema, is aimed at ages 6-11.
Selected storytellers include Lucy Heavens, one of the writers on the breakout South African animation hit ‘Supa Strikas,’ which is broadcast in 120 countries around the world.
Out of a whopping 1,378 entries, Triggerfish Animation Studios shortlists 23 features and 12 TV series for the inaugural Triggerfish Story Lab.
