Best Animated Feature nominees ‘Encanto,’ ‘Luca,’ ‘Raya and the Last Dragon,’ ‘Sing 2,’ and ‘The Mitchells vs. The Machines’ top the expansive list of category nominations; animation’s biggest awards ceremony is scheduled to return live on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at UCLA’s Royce Hall.
This year’s batch of Annie Award-nominated animated short films once again demonstrates that you’ll often find the most powerful storytelling in the smallest of packages.
Streaming live on April 16, the event honors overall excellence and achievement in 36 animation categories; presenters announced also include Eva Whittaker; composer Michael Giacchino; director Sergio Pablos; DreamWorks director Jill Culton; producer Nora Twomey; and the cast of the web series, ‘Critical Role.’
