Academy Software Foundation adds two new general members as it heads into annual conference, a free virtual event running August 4-5 featuring the latest in open source tools and standards.
New members Bill Baggelaar, Brooke Breton, Buzz Hays, Arjun Ramamurthy, Rachel Rose, Dave Schnuelle and Mandy Walker the council’s 2019–2020 membership roster to 25.
Group also will present Distinguished Leadership Awards to 13 women for their accomplishments in technology and business at Jan. 16 ceremony.
Returning Council co-chairs for 2016-2017 are two members of the Academy’s Visual Effects Branch: Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor and Academy governor Craig Barron, and USC adjunct professor and Google VR senior staff engineer Paul Debevec.
